Tonight, Ms. Pollauf will premiere “Aria”, a new work by Judah Adashi, as she celebrates the release of her debut solo album, Bouquet!

American harpist Jacqueline Pollauf is a dynamic young performer with musical sensitivity and maturity beyond her years. Praised for playing with “glittering beauty” (Lawrence Budman, critic for the Miami Herald) and a “steady and most satisfying elegance” (The Toledo Blade), Jacqueline made her solo debut at age sixteen with the Perrysburg Symphony Orchestra. She has since made solo appearances with many orchestras and is now celebrating the release of her debut solo album, Bouquet.

Jacqueline seeks to explore and expand not only the role of classical music in society, but also the perception and capabilities of the harp. As part of this mission, Jacqueline is a member of Pictures on Silence, a duo with saxophonist Dr. Noah Getz. Dedicated to excellence in performance, the ensemble has an ever-increasing repertoire driven by commissions and transcriptions.

An active proponent of the music of our time, Jacqueline has commissioned and premiered many new works and has performed with the Scottish Voices ensemble, on the Evolution Contemporary Music Series, and on the Mobtown Modern Series. She can also be heard on the recording, New Music from Bowling Green, Vol. IV.

Jacqueline's multi faceted career also includes her role as principal harpist with the Mid-Atlantic Symphony Orchestra and the Philadelphia Virtuosi Chamber Orchestra.

Jacqueline is on the faculties of the University of Maryland at Baltimore County, Goucher College, and the Baltimore School for the Arts. She holds Master and Bachelor of Music degrees from the Peabody Conservatory where she studied with Ruth K. Inglefield.

Admission is free; we suggest a minimum $10 donation.
Please join us for a post-concert wine reception.
