Ebony & Irony Vlll: Un-Natural Disasters

The Ebony & Irony Divas, aka Joyce J Scott and Lorraine L Whittlesey, bring the newest installment of their award winning (Best of Baltimore, Baltimore Magazine) original production to An Die Musik Live! Special guests include Jared Denhard and Michael Levender.
In this latest edition, Joyce and Lorraine will be performing a new poem by Michael Salcman, M.D., "Song", the first that has been set to music.

ABOUT THE ARTISTS:
Joyce J. Scott, a Baltimore native, is an internationally renowned visual artist whose works are in the permanent collections of the Metropolitan Museum, the Baltimore Museum of Art, and numerous other public and private collections. Her one woman retrospective, presented by the BMA titled 'Kickin' It With the Old Masters,' broke attendance records and received critical acclaim.
Lorraine L. Whittlesey, who moved to Baltimore from New York in 1992, has composed music that's been performed by the Baltimore Symphony, Concert Artists of Baltimore, Hip Hop artists 'Naughty By Nature,' and the Third Millennium Ensemble. She was Composer-in-Residence for the American Visionary Art Museum. Ms Scott and Ms Whittlesey have performed nearly one hundred times in 12 years in numerous venues and were commissioned to write and compose an original performance piece for the Walters Art Museum for the 'Vivat' celebrations in the City of Baltimore. Other venues have included the Mattin Center @ Johns Hopkins, and the the Patterson Theatre.
