Grace Shryock Originally from Grand Rapids, Michigan, Grace Shryock is a member of the Albany Symphony. As a performer in high demand, she has performed with the New York Philharmonic, the Baltimore, Richmond, Albany, Vermont and Springfield Symphonies, the Northeastern Pennsylvania and Neponset Valley Philharmonics, The National Repertory Orchestra, The Baltimore Choral Arts Society, and the Summer Opera Theater Company in Washington, D.C. for which The Washington Post said she was "an incredible English Horn player." She has been a featured soloist with the Neponset Valley Philharmonic, and has also performed internationally in Italy, Germany, France, and Luxembourg.

In addition to being an active performer, Mrs. Shryock keeps a very rigorous teaching schedule. She is the Associate Oboe Teacher at the Manhattan School of Music, maintains a private studio in Boston, presents Master Classes, and reedmaking workshops.

Mrs. Shryock earned a Masters Degree from the Manhattan School of Music in Orchestral Oboe Performance. Her major teachers included Liang Wang and Robert Botti of the New York Philharmonic. Prior to that, she earned a Bachelor's Degree in Oboe Performance from The Peabody Conservatory under Joseph Turner. She has received additional studies with Katherine Needleman, Jane Marvine, and Sherry Sylar.

Paul J. Carroll
Paul J. Carroll is the Director of Music at St. Louis Church, Clarksville, MD where he has the opportunity to work with a variety of singers, choirs, and instrumentalists to provide music for parish life. He holds Master and Bachelor of Music degrees in Organ from the Peabody Conservatory of Johns Hopkins University where he studied with Donald Sutherland. Mr. Carroll has performed as a soloist, an accompanist, and with orchestras throughout the United States and Europe as an organist, pianist, and harpsichordist.

While a student at Peabody, Mr. Carroll made his European solo debut in Italy in 2001 at the Assisi Music Festival. Returning to Italy multiple times since, Mr. Carroll has performed over 50 concerts throughout the country. During his time in Italy each year, Mr. Carroll serves as an accompanist, coach, and conductor for the Assisi Music Festival.

As an educator, Mr. Carroll created the music program at the newly formed Shoshana S. Cardin School in Pikesville, MD – 2005-2008. For the current school year, he has developed an interactive, distance learning Music Theory and Technology course at the Cardin School. He has been invited to join the faculty of the Pipe Organ Encounters – educational opportunities for aspiring young organists – and in July 2010, Mr. Carroll was the resident musician for the Archdiocese of Baltimore’s High School Leadership Institute. The summer of 2012 marks the third year for Singing in the Summer at St. Louis, an intensive week-long summer choral program for area high school students.

Robin Fay Massie Robin Fay Massie is a professional violist in the Baltimore/D.C. area. She completed her education in Viola Performance after attending the following schools: The University of Maryland, College Park (2003); New England Conservatory (2004); and The Peabody Institute of The Johns Hopkins University (2006).

Ms. Massie has cultivated a multi-faceted career as an orchestral violist, chamber musician, soloist, recording artist and private instructor. She has performed with The Philadelphia Orchestra and National Symphony Orchestra among other major ensembles. She is Assistant Principal Viola with the Delaware Symphony Orchestra and Co-Principal Viola with the Black Pearl Chamber Orchestra (Philadelphia). She was recently featured on an episode of BET’s Bobby Jones Gospel show as part of gospel singer Tye Tribbett’s backup ensemble.

With a heart for service, Ms. Massie is Founder and Executive Director of Musicians of Mercy (MOM) – a collective of over seventy musicians and artists in the Metropolitan D.C. area. MOM raises funds for humanitarian causes through the production of benefit concerts. MOM was recently recognized in a feature article for The International Musician, official publication of the American Federation of Musicians. As an educator, Ms. Massie has taught viola on the collegiate level as a Guest Viola Professor at The University of Delaware, Newark, DE. Today, she maintains a private studio for area middle and high school students. She resides in Columbia, MD.
