Since his arrival in 2009, Abe Ovadia has become an essential part of the New York jazz scene as a guitarist & composer. Abe's debut album "The Jem" was released spring 2011. Since then, his group has performed at venues such as The Cornelia Street Cafe, Sullivan Hall, Smalls Jazz Club, The Falcon & Chris' Jazz Cafe.

He has been described as "a musician with heart and soul, who puts his beautiful sound at the service of emotion." by world renowned pianist Jean-Michel Pilc. Abe has also gained the title of a "Promising Artist of the 21st Century" by Half Notes Records Producer Jeff Levenson when he was selected to tour Costa Rica in the summer of 2010. Abe's group has included musicians such as Brian Lynch, Jd Allen, & Benito Gonzalez.
