Gypsy jazz/electronics singer Alouette, the Lark combines the gypsy jazz guitar stylings of Django Reinhardt, electronic beats, and classical music for a sound that can be called "beautiful music and dangerous rhythm.

Mary was recently an Artist-in-Residence at the Strathmore Music Center in Maryland and released an EP of gypsy jazz originals, titled Midas, in April. The Maryland native has sung the National Anthem for the Orioles, the Nationals, and DC United before stadium crowds, competed at the Amateur Night at the Apollo Theater's National Tour. She’s also performed at venues like Carnegie Hall and the Kennedy Center and studied and performed classical voice at the Schlern International Music Festival in the Italian Alps and the American Institute of Musical Studies in Graz, Austria.

Since their early years as teens in a DC church choir, Maureen Andary and Sara Curtin have developed a unique musical relationship. Intricate Soprano-Alto harmonies soar over multi-instrumental arrangements of ukulele, guitar, banjo, flute, hand percussion, accordion, glockenspiel, and the occasional kazoo/mouth trumpet solo. Listeners are invited into The Sweater Set’s joyful friendship as their songs play out like musically elaborate gossip about life and the perils of courtship, lust and heartbreak. The Sweater Set was awarded the 2011 Washington Area Music Award for Best Contemporary Folk Duo/Group, have served as Artists-in-Residence at the Strathmore Center for the Performing Arts, have performed on the Kennedy Center Millenium Stage, opened for and sang with Dar Williams at The Birchmere, and opened for Pearl and the Beard at DC's Rock and Roll Hotel. The duo has also toured the UK, Ireland, and the United States supporting and singing with folk-legend Michelle Shocked.
