Formed in 2012, Trio Contista is quickly becoming one of New York's premier chamber music ensembles. Graduates of the Juilliard School members Irina Nuzova, Amy Schroeder, and Andrew Yee, have performed in major halls throughout the US, Canada, South America, Europe, and Japan.
Detected chamber musicians, the members of Trio Contista have won prizes in competitions all over the world and currently hold prestigious chamber music residencies. As members of the internationally acclaimed Attacca Quartet, currently the Graduate Resident Quartet at Juilliard, Ms. Schroeder and Mr. Yee were recipients of the gold prize in the Osaka International Chamber Music Competition, and the Alice Coleman Chamber Music Competition, and were also top prize winners and Radio Listener's Choice Award recipients in the Melbourne International Chamber Music Competition. Ms. Nuzova is is a Duo-in –Residence at the Music Institute of Chicago with the cellist Wendy Warner. She is also a member of the Camerata Phillips – chamber ensemble in residence of the Phillips Collection Gallery in Washington DC.
The members of Trio Contista are extremely devoted to education and frequently participate in outreach concerts in New York and other areas where they perform.
